Trip Duration – 3 Days

Places of Visit – Paro & Thimphu

Distance from Paro to Thimphu – 55 Km (one & half hours)

Day One: Arrive at Paro International Airport and after completing the formalities at the airport Immigration, you are required to exit the airport.  At the arrival gate, our representative will be there to receive you with the placard.  You will be escorted to the car and our representative will give you the brief introduction of the tour so that you will be fully aware of your stay in Bhutan.

The duration from Paro to Thimphu is hardly one & half hour even if you drive gradually.  During the journey, you will come across many interesting things such as small scattered villages, paddy fields, temple which is located at other side of the river and connected by the suspension bridge and road side shops etc.  Once you arrive at Thimphu town, our representative will assist you with hotel check- In formalities. If you wish to go around the city after checking in at Hotel, our representative will take you, otherwise we normally keep free evening for our guest so that our guest can have rest for next day tour.

Day Two: Our representative will be at the hotel in the morning to take you through the city. Thimphu is the Capital of Bhutan and all Government offices, Ministries, Embassies and International Agencies are all nestled in Thimphu.  Thimphu city has so much to offer in terms of sightseeing. Your day two will start by visiting Buddha Dordenma which is located at Kuensel Phodrang. It is one of the world’s largest Buddha Stupas measuring 51.5 meters height. You can also witness the spectacular view of Thimphu City.  On the way, you will visit National Memorial Chorten built in 1974 in memory of the late King, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. This Chorten is an exquisite specimen of modern Bhutanese Architecture.

After visiting Memorial chorten, our presentative will take you to Sangaygang where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Tashichho Dzong and Thimphu as well. You can also visit Taken Zoo, National Animal of Bhutan. Our representative will serve you refreshments during the trip and then take you for lunch at Folk Heritage Museum restaurant, where you will be served with multi Bhutanese cuisine. After the scrumptious lunch, you will proceed to National Textile Museum where you can witness the weaving techniques, styles of dress and types of textile all made in Bhutan by women and men followed by  visit to Tashichho Dzong. Tashichho Dzong is located very close to the Thimphu City and it has been seat of Government since 1952. The other meaning for Tashichho Dzong is “the Fortress of Glorious Religion”. After the visit you will move to Paro after checking out. You shall arrive at Paro at around 7 pm. After checking in, our representative will take you through the Paro Town and visit handicraft shops if you wish to and followed by dinner and overnight stay at Hotel in Paro.

Day Three: If you are morning person, you can make a quick visit to Kichu Lhakhang. It is one of the oldest Lhakhang in Bhutan built in the 7th Century.

After breakfast, proceed to airport for departure to onward journey.


Trip Duration – 4 Days

Places of Visit – Paro, Thimphu & Dochula

Distance from Paro to Thimphu – 55 Km (one & half hours)

Day One: Arrive at Paro International Airport and after completing the formalities at the airport Immigration, you are required to exit the airport.  At the arrival gate, our representative will be there to receive you with the placard.  You will be escorted to the car and our representative will give you the brief introduction of the tour so that you will be fully aware of your stay in Bhutan.

Drive to hotel and  complete the check in formalities. After refreshment at hotel, you will visit to Kichu Lhakhang. It is one of the oldest Lhakhang in Bhutan built in the 7th Century built by Tibetan King Songtsen Gempo and followed by visit Ta Dzong and Ringpung Dzong. Ta Dzong  also known as Watch Tower, now it is converted to National Museum and has antique religious paintings, textiles, armor and weapons and you can also witness the wide range of natural and historic artifacts. After the visit to Ta Dzong, you can walk down to Rinpung Dzong and enjoy the cool breeze as Dzong in located above the Pa Chhu River. Other meaning for Rinpung is “fortress of the heal of Jewels” and has its own history. As you walk along the courtyard of the Dzong, you can enjoy and understand the illustration of religious painting and Buddhist beliefs etc.

Our representative will take you for lunch. After having lunch, you will visit local market at Paro which is located in the town followed by visit to Drugyel Dzong which is under construction at the moment. The Drugyal Dzong plays significant role in Bhutan History because our Bhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders and were victorious. Our representative will take you to Taktsang Base, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Taktsang Monastery. Taktsang Monastery is known for uniqueness in term of its landscape and Architecture.  Then you our trip for the day ends and you will be taken back to Paro town ,have dinner in one of the best hotel in Paro town and our representative you take to back to hotel for overnight stay so that you can prepare for tomorrow’s trip to Thimphu.

Day Two: After the breakfast, drive to Thimphu. Day Three: After having breakfast,  drive to Dochhula, an hour drive from Thimphu. Dochula is a popular location which is located on the way to Punakha and Thimphu. Dochula offers speculator 360 Degree view of Himalayan mountain range, 108 Druk Wangyal chortens. On the way to Dochhula, you will also come across beautiful olakha , Babesa and Semtokha town including Semtokha Dzong and Youesipang village . Semtokha Dzong is oldest Drong and first Dzong built in Bhutan by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1927. On the way back, you can make a quick visit to Semtokha Dzong as the dzong has innumerable ancient statues and Buddhas, deities and religious figures and the eight manifestation of Guru Rimpoche etc. After the visit, our representative will drive you back to hotel and have dinner.

Day Four: Check out from hotel and drive to Paro International Airport for onward journey.

Places of Visit – Paro,Thimphu, Punakha & Wangdue

Distance from Thimphu to Punakha – 72 Km  (Around Three hours)

Day Two: Drive to Punakha and on the way, visit Dochula popular tourist location, witness the  scenic 360 Degree view of Himalayan mountain range, 108 Druk Wangyal chortens and Lhakhang and Royal Botanical Park at Lam Pelri and refreshment will be served and continue journey to Punakha. After arriving at Punakha, our representative will complete the check in formalities and lunch will be arranged at hotel. After lunch, our representative will drive you to Punakha Town and nearby temples and back to hotel and have dinner and overnight at Punakha.

Day Three: Visit to Punakha Dzong, Punakha is one of the old Dzong in Bhutan and it is known for its structural beauty.  The dzong is built at confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo chhu, two major rivers of Punakha. Dzong is also the winter residence of Je Khempo, Chief Abbot and Dzong preserved remains of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal popularly known in Bhutan as “Ranjung Karsapani”, a “Sacred Relic”. After lunch, drive to Wangdue District and sightseeing at Wangdue Town and drive back to Punakha and overnight at Punakha.

Day Four: Drive to Thimphu, on the way back, make a visit to Semtokha Dzong. The dzong has innumerable ancient statues and buddhas, deities and religious figures and the eight manifestation of Guru Rimpoche etc. After the visit, our representative will take you back to hotel and have lunch.
